upon the following terms and conditions, Millard Enterprises LLC, at its option, will repair or replace, without charge, your Concrete Countertops, provided that Millard Enterprises LLC determines that the product has failed due to any defect in fabrication or installation during the first twelve (12) months from the installation date. The warranty does not cover damage caused by physical, chemical or other abuse, normal wear and tear, and acts of nature, scratches, cracks or chips<\/p><p>&#8220;Why does concrete show variation on the surface and edges?&#8221;<\/p><div class=\"\" dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"\"><div id=\"LayoutColumn2\" class=\"Content\"><div class=\"BlockContent PageContent\"><p class=\"\"><br class=\"\" \/>All of Millard Enterprises concrete products are heat cured for over 12 hours.\u00a0 We use a very low water-to-cement ratio and a considerable amount of mix additives to ensure you are getting the best high strength concrete on the market.\u00a0 Our batching, weighing, and casting process is extremely consistent with all ingredients being measured to the 100th of a gram. \u00a0Millard Enterprises\u00a0is and has always been dedicated to perfecting the art of casting amazing concrete products.<\/p><p class=\"\">Even with all these processes, structures, and protocols in place; concrete projects still exhibit variations and random markings. Why is your concrete imperfect?<br class=\"\" \/><br class=\"\" \/>There isn\u2019t one particular reason why concrete products show surface and edge variations. \u00a0The first step to understanding \u201cwhy\u201d is to understand that this material is a finished product of a chemical reaction called\u00a0<strong class=\"\"><a class=\"\" title=\"Concrete Hydration\" href=\"http:\/\/www.understanding-cement.com\/hydration.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"\">hydration<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0 A lot of chemical reactions occur within concrete during the curing process which affect the final surface as well as the integrity of the product. Moisture and heat escape the concrete, leaving behind a visual story on the surface and edge of your project. Two other factors that have a huge impact on the product are the casting process and the artisans touch. Both add their own chapters to the concrete production story.<\/p><p class=\"\">What you may see as an unacceptable blemish is simply the evidence of the story in which your concrete project was created. If that variation was not present, the product would be void of the integrity to what it is\u2026 Hand Made\u2026 \u00a0Sometimes you just have to accept that concrete is hand made and has variation to it that we can\u2019t control.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><h2><strong>General Residential Warranty Terms and Conditions<\/strong><\/h2><p>This warranty applies only to Concrete Countertops fabricated and installed by Millard Enterprises LLC.<\/p><p>This warranty applies to installations of Concrete Countertops that have been installed in residential residences for countertop usage and that have not been moved from the original, installation. This warranty does not apply to any other installations of concrete.<\/p><p>This warranty applies to Concrete Countertops purchased from and installed by Millard Enterprises LLC after January 1, 2010, for owner-occupied residences only.<\/p><p>To obtain service under this limited warranty, you must contact Millard Enterprises LLC at 315-458-4112. To qualify for repair or replacement, you must provide the original Millard Enterprises LLC sales receipt clearly showing both the date of purchase and the date the installation was performed by Millard Enterprises LLC. You must permit a Millard Enterprises LLC authorized agent to inspect the installation of the product. You will reasonably cooperate with Millard Enterprises LLC in its efforts to perform its obligations under this warranty. All decisions about defects in the fabrication or installation shall be made by Millard Enterprises LLC and communicated to you in a timely manner. Whether Millard Enterprises LLC performs repair or replacement of your installation, we will seek to obtain the best possible result. Since Concrete Countertops are created by hand, exact color match to the originally installed Concrete cannot be guaranteed.<\/p><p>If during or after installation, you decide that you do not approve of the material you selected or the color variations and veining of your installation, replacement is not covered by this warranty. This warranty does not cover the natural characteristics of concrete, which include but are not limited to, color variations, water lines, fissures or surface pits and blemishes.<\/p><p>A courtesy seal is applied to all Millard Enterprises LLC Concrete Countertops at the time of fabrication. It is recommended that the consumer apply or have applied a long lasting seal within 6 months of the original installation and once every 6 months thereafter. Concrete is porous and may therefore result in staining. Food or liquid stains, damage caused by chemicals or physical use or abuse are expressly excluded within this warranty.<\/p><p>This warranty shall be null and void unless the Concrete Countertops have been paid for in full.<\/p><p>To qualify for coverage under this warranty, you should maintain the countertop in accordance with the Millard Enterprises LLC Concrete Countertop Care and Maintenance Guide provided free of charge at the time of installation or upon request to Millard Enterprises LLC.<\/p><p>This warranty covers seam performance but not the appearance of the seam. Seam failure due to settling or structural issues unrelated to the countertop installation, are not covered.<\/p><p>This warranty does not cover use of products for \u201ccommercial\u201d uses, uses of products exposed to outside weather and climate conditions, abnormal use or conditions, or abuse in any way. \u201cCommercial use\u201d includes, but is not limited to, use in a store, office or other place of business. \u201cAbnormal use or conditions\u201d includes, but is not limited to, damage from mishandling or misuse, damage from excessive heat or uneven exposure to weather conditions, physical or chemical abuse, and damage from ordinary wear and tear or improper care and maintenance. Improper care of Concrete Countertops may result in staining, scratches, cracks or chips. In addition, this warranty will not cover damage from vandalism, use of improper cleaning solutions or damage from the dropping of heavy objects on the countertop.<\/p><p>Millard Enterprises LLC is not responsible for damage or injury caused in whole or in part by acts of God, job site conditions, architectural and engineering design, structural movement or settling, acts of vandalism, or accidents.<\/p><p>Millard Enterprises LLC \u2018s obligation under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the countertop including necessary labor charges needed to repair or replace the Concrete Countertops covered by this warranty. Millard Enterprises LLC will repair any area of the installation that is determined by Millard Enterprises LLC to be defective. Millard Enterprises LLC will pay for the cost of the product, labor involved in the removal and replacement of the original installation of the Millard Enterprises LLC Concrete Countertops only. You will be responsible for any other costs associated with or arising out of the repair or replacement. Should Millard Enterprises LLC elect to replace your Concrete Countertop installation, your warranty will continue from the original date of installation and not from the date of repair or replacement.<\/p><p>Except as provided in this limited warranty, Millard Enterprises LLC shall not be liable in either tort or contract for any loss of direct, consequential or incidental damages arising out of the use or inability to use the product in residential applications covered by this warranty.
