Here are some concrete countertops we did for a large outdoor kitchen. They were finished with a custom style to look like wood.

Expect final color, color field variation (water marks, casting marks, fibers, aggregate shadows) and shade (lightness-darkness) to vary in most instances. All concrete exhibits variations from cast to cast, therefore samples should be used as a general guideline only when selecting color. Color matches cannot be guaranteed. Variations will range depending casting day weather and on the color selected and availability of raw materials from month to month. The manufacturer color chart was achieved using their local materials of the concrete mix which will make the color not an exact match. Just as the imperfections in live edge furniture and authentic leather upholstery enhance the beauty of the object, the natural imperfections inherent in concrete are not undesirable. Because concrete is a mixture of many different ingredients, Millard Enterprises LLC emphasizes that subtle variations in color, shade and texture are to be expected. Concrete is poured into a mold, so air bubbles and mottling can affect the surface. And concrete has to cure, which means that temperature and humidity levels can impact final results. In addition, all concrete is susceptible to harmless hairline cracks over time. Those who expect perfection might not be happy with concrete countertops in the long-term.
